CAR WORKS

Car works were done when I lived in Brighton and I revisited the car breakers that I used to frequent when I was at art college to get bits and ideas for art. There's something sad about cars that are well past their sell-by date and lie unloved and stripped of their parts. It also says something about the nature of capitalism and the Throw-Away Society, but also about the need for Recycling. Finally everything lives and dies, even machines that have no 'soul' but were loved by someone once.

Auto opere sono state fatte quando ho vissuto a Brighton e ho rivisitato gli interruttori auto che ho usato per frequentare quando ero alla scuola d'arte per ottenere bit e idee per l'arte. C'è qualcosa di triste per le auto che sono ben oltre la loro data di scadenza e la menzogna non amato e spogliati delle loro parti. Si dice anche qualcosa sulla natura del capitalismo e la società usa e getta, ma anche sulla necessità di riciclaggio. Infine tutto vive e muore, anche macchine che non hanno un 'anima', ma sono stati amati da qualcuno una volta.
